Mr Pawan Munjal is Managing Director and CEO, Hero MotoCorp Limited (formerly Hero Honda Motors Ltd), a company that has been at the forefront of India’s revolution in personalized and affordable vehicles— a phenomenon where motorcycles and scooters outsold other vehicles by four times.

In the 1990s and 2000s, he steered the growth and market leadership of Hero Honda — a joint venture between Hero Cycles Ltd and Honda Motor Co of Japan. Mr Munjal’s contributions to India’s automobile industry have been recognised regularly. He was presented with the ‘Man of the Year’ hall of fame award by CNBC TV 18 Overdrive Awards in 2009. He was the Indian automotive industry’s 'Man of the Year' at the 2010 NDTV Profit Car & Bike Awards 2010. He was also adjudged ‘Innovator of the Year’ by NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards in 2011.
