Dr Janmejaya K Sinha is Chairman, Boston Consulting Group’s (BCG) Asia Pacific practice. He is a member of the group’s global governing Executive Committee. Prior to joining BCG, Dr Sinha worked with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for several years across different departments. He has also worked briefly with the World Bank.

Dr Sinha has been a member of various committees set up by the RBI, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Indian Banks' Association (IBA), including the committee of Financial Sector Assessment (RBI) for India. He has contributed many articles to various news publications and has conducted workshops and seminars in CII, IBA, Assocham, EIU, FICCI and RBI. He has worked extensively with clients in the US, Britain, Europe, Australia and India on a variety of issues that include strategy, corporate governance, risk, operations and organisation.
Dr Sinha completed his PhD degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, US.

He has completed his BA and MA degrees in economics from Clare College, Cambridge University, Britain. He also holds BA and MA degrees in history from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University, India. In 2010, the Consulting Magazine named him one of the Top 25 most influential consultants in the world.
